Kitchen Table Wisdom

God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow,

Thank you for the road behind me—
for the beauty, the lessons,
the people I have loved,
and even the places where I discovered
that something could grow in hard ground.

Help me release what I cannot change.
Turn my regret into wisdom
and my worry into trust.

Keep me from missing today
because I am looking too far behind
or too far ahead.

Give me courage for the choices still before me,
gratitude for what I have been given,
and eyes open to unexpected beauty along the way.

When the landscape changes,
help me keep moving.

And when the sun finally slips beyond my horizon,
lead me safely home.
