Gracious and loving God,

As churches everywhere prepare to welcome children through Vacation Bible School, we give You thanks for the countless volunteers, teachers, youth leaders, pastors, and staff who have answered Your call to serve.

Bless the hands that prepare lessons, decorate classrooms, organize supplies, lead music, tell Bible stories, serve snacks, play games, and offer a warm welcome. May every act of service become an expression of Your love.

We pray for the youth who are serving alongside adults. Strengthen their faith as they lead, encourage, and care for younger children. May they discover the joy of serving Christ and grow into compassionate disciples.

We pray for every child who will walk through the doors of a church this summer. Some will come excited, others shy or uncertain. Some will come from homes where faith is nurtured, while others may be hearing about Your love for the very first time. Meet each child where they are. Help them know they are created in Your image, cherished beyond measure, and welcomed into Your family.

We also lift up their families. Bless parents, grandparents, guardians, and caregivers. May the seeds planted during these summer days continue to grow in homes and hearts long after Vacation Bible School has ended.

Lord, remind us that this ministry is about far more than crafts, songs, games, or decorations. It is about introducing children to the life-changing love of Jesus Christ. Give every volunteer patience, joy, and wisdom. Give every church the courage to welcome every child with open hearts and open arms.

We trust You with every conversation, every lesson, every prayer, and every moment of laughter. May the seeds planted this summer take root and bear fruit for years to come, as only You can bring growth.

We ask this in the name of Jesus, who said, “Let the little children come to me.”
