Heavenly Father,
As another school year comes to an end and the days of summer begin, we pause to give You thanks. Thank you for the learning, the friendships, the challenges overcome, and the growth that has taken place in the lives of our children, teachers, and families this year.
For students, summer brings excitement, freedom, adventure, and rest. We pray these coming months will be filled with laughter, safety, discovery, and joy. May scraped knees, sunlit afternoons, campfires, swimming pools, front porches, and family tables become places where good memories are made, and hearts are renewed.
For parents and grandparents, grant patience, wisdom, and moments of deep connection with the children entrusted to their care.
Bless the teachers, school staff, bus drivers, and all who have poured their energy, patience, and care into this school year. As summer begins, grant them rest for weary bodies, renewal for tired spirits, and joy in the work they have faithfully done.
And Lord, in the midst of vacations and summer camps, chores and games, fireflies and long evening sunsets, remind us that You are never far away. May we encounter You not only in sanctuaries and Sunday worship, but also in gardens and hay fields, along hiking trails, beside quiet ponds, and in mornings filled with birdsong.
Let this summer become a season of growth — not only in knowledge or strength, but in kindness, wisdom, faith, and love.
Watch over our children wherever they wander and play. Keep them safe. Help them grow in body, mind, and spirit. And prepare all of us for the new things You will teach us in the days ahead.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray, Amen.
