A Prayer for Every Table

Holy One,
bless every table where women gather,
where stories are told,
where silence is honored,
where laughter and tears
live side by side.

Bless the women who come carrying memory,
the ones who treasure and ponder like Mary,
holding the scattered pieces of their family’s life
until they make sense in the light of Your love.

Bless the women who keep the lineage alive,
like Ruth and Naomi,
weaving hope through loss
and carrying their families forward with courage.

Bless the women who protect the future,
like Shiphrah and Puah,
quietly defying despair
and the powers of death,
so the story can continue.

Bless the women who rise to sing,
worship leaders like Miriam,
teaching us to remember
Your deliverance in every generation.

Bless the women who tell the truth,
like the women at the tomb,
first to see, first to believe,
first to carry the good news into the world.

For every table where stories are told,
and every table where silence holds what words cannot say,
let Your presence rest gently among us.

Make these tables places of wisdom and tenderness,
where memories are honored,
truth is spoken with love,
and the next generation learns who they are
by listening to the women who came before.

Bless the story keepers.
Bless the wisdom bearers.
Bless the tables that bear witness to our lives.
Bless all who gather there.

Amen.
